this CD Reclaiming the Pyramids is so dear to my heart and soul that its amazing the way things have turned out. I grown to be a very paitent perons and focused on my dream like no other.
While in pre production of this CD
we have our debut cd "bringers of the dawn'
we were rehersing at Soundwave studios a rehersal hall for musicians in Oakland, Ca. with Lowen Harper on Drums, Parrish James on Bass, Rick Campbell on Percussion, John ??? on Keyboards. We were doing our thing all of the sudden Parrish whispers to Lowen I have a pain in my side.. He takes a few steps back and falls on the couch. Heart attack I suspect. I never wanted to know what took him.
II immediatley rushed over to him (I know CPR) and fixed him so I can start the repititions. I have never been in that situation before so I was out of my body. I pumped air into his lungs... BUT i could hear it flow....like a tunnel...I actually seen Parrish leave his body. It was like I was the last person he seen before he left earth.
SO after telling his mom her son would not be coming home this evening we went out for breakfast.Merrit Bakery ...and didn't say a word to each other...Rick, Ben & myself..Jstone
I loved parrish for his contribution to the funk and I am so proud that he went out FUNKIN'!
My friend Leroy Chambers made the sessions and the interludes on the Reclaiming the Pyramids CD is Leroy. Thank-you
now you know something bout the funk

Good surprise at “Cylindre” with the outrageous show from the American group The Funkanauts who transformed the club into a Funk palace. The next time you find yourself thinking that the Red Hot Chili Peppers or Jamiroquai are the funkiest in the circulation, reach for The Funkanauts.
